What is NovaSure?

NovaSure is a quick, effective, endometrial ablation procedure designed to remove the uterine lining, called the endometrium, and reduce, and in some cases even stop, heavy menstrual bleeding.

What can I expect during my NovaSure procedure?

During your NovaSure procedure, your doctor slightly opens your cervix and places a thin, flexible wand and a netting device in your uterus.

Next, the netting swells to fit the shape and size of your uterus. Safe, controlled radiofrequency energy passes through the netting for about 90 seconds.

The device is then carefully guided back into the wand and taken out of your uterus.
